J.Derobie the Poverty hitmaker has in an interview with Hitz FM stated that his state and condition made him titled his song "Poverty".

Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak hit said he had no title for his song so he named it poverty as of the reasons that it was his state and condition at that moment. ''I was on low-key poverty''. he exclaimed
The young champ who is in his 20's stated that he had not recorded the song at that time. It was just a free class video where the beat was played and then he sang on it.

He said, "Before gaining popularity with the song, it was shared via WhatsApp amongst friends and the reactions I got were very encouraging so thereafter I took to Instagram and uploaded it because some friends recommended it's an inspirational song".

"Sometimes I could submit an application for a job and will be asked to wait upon the call but nothing shows up so I consider myself not at all a lucky person'' he stated.

The ''Poverty'' hitmaker added that he worked currently as a volunteer with the Births and Deaths registry and he wasn't ready to quit even though he was given huge sums of money from the ''Banku Music'' originator to go live his life to the fullest.
